TOWN OF WHEATON
MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 28, 2010
Notices were posted at the Town Hall, Eau Claire Travel Center, Wander Inn on September 28, 2010 at 9:30 a.m.
Paul Krumenauer called the meeting to order at 2 p.m. Present: Paul Krumenauer, Bud Beckwith, Al Solberg, Ken Custer, Mark Christenson, Pat Blaeser, Bob Sworski. Quarum was present.
Bud motioned to approve the overlay proposal for 65th and 66th Ave. from Monarch Paving Co. for $20,494.00 as a finish project bid to sweep road, apply tack coat, overlay road with Type E-1hot mix asphalt to thickness of 1 1/2". Ken second, motion carried.
Al motioned to approve the pulverizing, paving, shouldering proposal for 110th Street from Chippewa County Highway Department for $30,041.89 to pulverize existing base and surface 2600 S.Y. @ $0.84/S.Y., apply 1 1/2" 19MM type E-1 and 1 1/2" 12.5MM E-1 hot mix asphalt, 22' wide, approx. 514 tons @ $51.26/ton, shouldering approx. 175 tons @ $8.63/ton. Bud second, motion carried.
Al motioned to approve the Concession Building Bid from Sundance Companies, Inc. Hastings, MN for $115,000.00. Bud second, motion carried. Other bids included American Express for $125,834.00 and Acorn Woodworks for $155,000.00.
Ken motioned to approve the Dugout Bid from Acorn Woodworks for $11,200.00. Bud second, motion carried. There was also a bid from Carpentry Specialists for $15,844.00.
Al motioned to approve the Wheaton Ball Field Project proposal from American Express for $2,750.00. Bud second, motion carried. Kragness Dirt Works also had a bid of $4,250.00.
The Board will need more information and pictures before reviewing the flooding issue at 5132 20th Ave.
