TOWN OF WHEATON
MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING HELD APRIL 13, 2010
Notices were posted at the Town Hall, Fire Station, Eau Claire Travel Center, Recycling Center on April 10, 2010.
Paul Krumenauer called the meeting to order immediately after the Annual Meeting. Present: Paul Krumenauer, Bud Beckwith, Bob Sworski, Al Solberg, Fred Anderson, Ruth Fagerland, Mark Christenson. Ken Custer was absent.
Minutes of the March meeting were approved as submitted.
Treasurer's report was approved as presented.
Pat Blaeser discussed the garbage problem on Cliff Road with the Board.
Bud read minutes of the last Plan Commission meeting and reported the next meeting will be held May 4, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Wheaton Fire Station. The Plan Commission is investigating the forming of Wheaton Commission.
The Insurance Policy Review with Stacy Miller was postponed.
Bob motioned to approve the landfill well monitoring proposal from Ayres for $3,200.00 in 2010. Al second, motion carried.
Al motioned to accept the town hall roof proposal by Paul's Sheet Metal & Roofing, Inc. for $13,496.00. Bud second, motion carried.
Al motioned to allow Bob to pursue the Finacial Cunsultant RFP project with Wipfli. Wipfli charges an hourly fee of $85.00. Bud second, motion carried.
Paul discussed road work projects. Tropicana must be completely redone. Bob suggested getting proposals from engineering firms for controling the project. The Town will need to contact Chippewa County Bridge Inspector to inspect town bridges that need repair and see if we can get federal funding.
Al reported the Fire Board made no changes to ambulance rates and approved safety classes to take place.
The Wheaton Board of Review will be held May 25, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wheaton Town Hall. Open Book will be held May 19, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wheaton Town Hall.
Next meeting was set for May 11, 2010 at 7 p.m.
